To enable multilanguage live-streams you will need to use an encoder which supports outputting multiple audio tracks. In addition, you should use an SRT ingest option Secure Reliable Transport.

Recommended settings

Video 1

Codec H.264
Resolution 1280x720 or higher
Frame rate 25, 30, 50 or 60 (Progressive Scan)
Bitrate 3 - 10 Mbit/s or higher, VBV or CBR
Keyframes every 2 seconds (i.e. double the frame rate)

Audio (1-N)

The SRT stream contains 1 video channel and n audio channels. Depending on your encoder, up to 16 audio channels can be transmitted.

Sample rate 44.1 or 48 kHz
Bit rate 128k and higher

Transcoding & delivery

The incoming live signal will be converted by our transcoding engine and is available in the following formats:

  • HTTP Live-streaming (HLS) v4+ with Alternative Audio
  • MPEG-DASH with Alternative Audio

Both formats are compatible with our video player. It is also possible to play these streams with a 3rd party player, if desired.
